Tiffany and Yannick’s vintage engagement session in Kingston, Jamaica was filled with timeless romantic details, including a classic 1969 Camaro Chevy, pastel florals, and a historic venue.
Set at the historic Fort Charles (Port Royal) in Kingston, Jamaica, Tiffany and Yannick’s engagement session was everything classy, romantic, and timeless. Captured by Corey Hamilton of Hamilton Multimedia, their photos, down to colors, styling, and editing harkens back to a bygone era.
We fell more in love with the concept as it came together, because what echoes timeless romance more than a 1969 Classic Camaro Chevy ride out with the love of your life? The era itself carries so many signatures of bold, undying love.“
Tiffany, the Bride-to-be
Just like their vintage engagement session, their love story is truly timeless. With a lengthy pursuit by Yannick for over 2 years, Tiffany finally gave him a shot at love. Thank God she did! Their casual interest in one another over the years blossomed into something meaningful, and a deep, one-of-a-kind connection grew between them. And this month, on November 12, 2022, they will become husband and wife!

How they met…
After several years of casual encounters and cordial greetings, Yannick and Tiffany’s acquaintance would eventually evolve into romance with one simple catalyst…a dance.
Maybe it was just the Christmas spirit, but when Yannick approached Tiffany at a party in December 2016, he must have had the right “lyrics” because he was able to convince her to dance with him. This was their first dance, of which there were to be many more.
But not quite yet. First, he had to get her to go out with him.
Over the next 2 years, Yannick would seize any opportunity to interact with Tiffany whenever their paths happened to cross. It took several attempts, including requests for her number and an Instagram follow, neither of which she granted.
Taking a bolder approach…
Finally, deciding to take a bolder approach, the next time he “conveniently” ran into Tiffany at her usual After work Fridays Lyme at TGI Fridays, he skipped the “lyrics” and feistily asked, “Why you nah accept my friend request???”
Despite her attempts to play it cool, Tiffany was actually impressed with his assertiveness, and before the end of the night, @born_2_winnn was following @drt1ffy on Instagram.
Of course, Yannick slid right into her DMs the very next day, but there was still some work to do. Once again, it took several attempts, but Yannick stayed the course and after 3 months, in November 2018, they went on their first lunch date at Uncorked.
A blossoming relationship…
Once they began dating, their superficial interest in each other soon deepened. Yannick was able to see, in addition to her beauty, Tiffany’s deeply caring, nurturing, and supportive nature, and quickly became smitten her. Similarly, Tiffany found herself drawn not only to Yannick’s swag, but also to his engaging and attentive personality, and his ability to make her laugh sealed the deal.
Now, 4 years later, Yannick and Tiffany’s love has blossomed into a beautifully balanced relationship, with a lifetime of dances ahead of them!
Their proposal story…
With dance such a big part of their love story, it’s no surprise that music played a major role in the proposal.
For several weeks, Yannick had been planning the perfect surprise proposal. It was perfect because it involved something Tiffany loved (traveling together), which would make it easy to get her involved, and something she did not love (her seafood allergy), which would help to keep her suspicions at bay.
Yannick invited Tiffany to join him on a work trip to Miami, and casually mentioned that his childhood friend, now international reggae artist, Jesse Royal, would be performing at the Jupiter Seafood Festival, and he wanted to go. Tiffany jumped on the opportunity to travel with Yannick to Miami, but was reluctant to go to the festival because she had made other plans to see her friends in Florida…and it was a SEAFOOD Festival. That was going to be a hard sell.
Yannick, determined not to have his master plan derailed, then had to recruit Tiffany’s best friend, Renee, to convince her to go to the festival. After using all the cards she had to play, Renee succeeded and Tiffany agreed to go. The plan was now in motion…
The festival…
On February 19, 2022, they went to the festival. While backstage during the performance, Jesse asked Tiffany to join him on stage to help him with a song. Being a good sport, she nervously joined him and attempted to sing along, but was distracted by the sudden screaming coming from the crowd. She turned around to see what was going on, and saw Yannick behind her, down on one knee with a ring box in his hand. She dove into his arms, and while speaking to each other in a close embrace, Jesse announced to the now even louder crowd, “SHE SAID YES!”
As the crowd erupted, and the band continued to play, they hugged and kissed and then walked off the stage together, a newly engaged couple
Conceptualizing their Vintage engagement session…
The concept for my engagement shoot began with my fixation on including a classic car. From this initial idea, the vintage essence multiplied beautifully, from the historical location, to the coloring of the photos, our individual styling, and the floral arrangement placed in the car. I fell more in love with the concept as it came together, because what echoes timeless romance more than a 1969 Classic Camaro Chevy ride out with the love of your life.
The era itself carries so many signatures of bold, undying love. We enlisted the help of our close friends, Jodi-Ann Simon Lifestyle curator who styled the shoot, along with Brandon Ferguson who gave his creative direction. Photographer and long time friend Corey Hamilton encouraged us to be relaxed, natural and captured those candid moments so well.
Their first date…
Our first date was actually a lunch date at Uncorked Restaurant, Sovereign north, in Kingston.
Favorite thing to do as a couple…
Taking trips together, whether road trips locally or internationally.
Wedding planning so far…
Wedding planning has been a mix of dealing with expectations and realities. Moments of excitement and days with decision fatigue. But it’s been a chance to experience new things with each other.
What they’re looking forward to most…
The wedding glam!! The food and having a great time with our friends and family especially with the after party.
