Prepare to be swept off your feet! Featured in Munaluchi Bride Magazine, Issue 28, this vivid outdoor garden elopement features luscious blooms and whimsical decor.
Real couple, Alyssa and Nitai, relived their own recent wedded bliss in Designer Beryln Events’ vivid elopement-styled shoot at the private event venue, The Haven Estate, in Delaware, Ohio.
Captured by Starling Studio, vibrant florals by Prema Designs inspired by grapefruit, apricot, and honey with cool lavender and romantic garden roses compliment colorful place settings and whimsical decor.
We dream of encouraging a day where more than just the common space of a property is used; to run against the norms and explore colors and textures, not just in the tangible details, but also the vendors whose craft is showcased.”

Color story & florals…
Influenced by a vibrant palette of grapefruit, apricot, and honey, with cool lavender, blooms of romantic garden roses, fragrant sweet peas, and trailing vines cascaded down the gates and stairs. Bold ranunculus created contrast in the installations, mirroring the purple hues from delicate lisianthus and speckled foxglove.
A timeless, yet whimsical design inspired by the owner’s favorite book, “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson, to highlight the bold architectural features of the property and its sprawling gardens. All florals were intentionally, perfectly placed by Prema Designs.
The venue…
The Havens Estate is filled with warm beams of sunlight, fresh blooms, and rich architecture. The private estate, nestled in Delaware, Ohio, was the perfect setting for designer Berlyn Events.
The vision…
The vision was to style a refined garden elopement through the lens of a modern real couple and showcase their playful love through handcrafted, delicate details. With those details, we wanted to illustrate the intimate connection between day and night, the progression of the wedding day, while breaking the stigma that cool tones and warm tones can’t effortlessly blend.
The couple…
Having just celebrated their own wedding a few weeks before, models Alyssa and Nitai reveled in reliving those precious moments. It’s one of the reasons having a real-life couple was so important to the vision.
In that spirit, telling a story for a couple with rich cultural backgrounds necessitates the inclusion of those communities. It was key that the vendor team reflected that. This was a true labor of love from a diverse group of creative professionals – joining different perspectives and life experiences to create a cohesive vision celebrating cultural love.
There’s an authenticity you simply cannot replicate between a couple that is truly in love. Immersed in the beauty of the gardens, the two had a glow that felt infectious and genuine.
Wedding attire…
Alyssa’s gown by Barbara Kavchok Couture featured intricate ruching on the illusion bodice, accented by individual floral appliques, and voluminous sleeves. Nitai was captivated by the skirt which caught his attention with every movement.
Muna bling…
Tablescape…
A tablescape exploding with color sat beneath a custom pergola, draped in airy mink chiffon.
Glistening crystal chandeliers cast prisms over each place setting, featuring Italian cut-crystal glassware, accompanied by custom flatware designed to mimic the sapling branches of the surrounding trees.
The reception…
Sweet details…
To toast to the occasion, a tower of champagne coupes sat atop a French provincial pedestal table, with the setting sun glimmering through the glasses.
Nearby, in the middle of a Victorian water feature, a three-tier buttercream wedding cake adorned with sculpted sugar flowers and hand-painted butterflies appeared suspended in mid-air. Mirrored pedestals reflected the glimmers of the water, creating a sense of boundlessness.
As children you’d often sneak desserts so placing the cake by Lavender and Honey Cakery as the focal point to the small garden maze illustrated fun and excitement.
From the warmth of sunrise over the estate to the cooling sunset through the trees, the images captured by Starling Studio echoed the unrehearsed transition of a graceful summer day.
