There was a time when chuppahs were solely used in the Jewish community. It represents the home that the groom will provide for his bride after they’re married. Today, the wedding day chuppah can have a significant meaning in a traditional Jewish ceremony or be an element of design for a modern bride, wanting to add a little something extra and dramatic as a part of her wedding day ceremony decor.
I’ve always loved chuppahs and the element of drama and romance that they can provide to a wedding ceremony. They have also been incorporated into the reception and have added some drama to cake tables. I’ve gathered some of my favorite chuppahs for your wedding day inspiration, whether you’re planning a traditional Jewish wedding or planning to incorporate one into your non-Jewish one.
