Wedding Inspiration: Sashes and Bows

Sashes and bows, bows and sashes… can make for the cutest embellishments for your wedding gown and hair accessories.  We’ve got a selection of some of our favorite to-die-for wedding dresses … sash and bow embellishments included.  What’s so good about a sash? They’re a great way to add color to your gown, or even a great way to give the illusion of a smaller waist.  And bows just have a way of adding romance and charm, whether you choose to incorporate them in your wedding gown or headpiece.  Check out these selections, and tell which one is your fav.

The gown worn by Lala Vazquez on our new cover is a Vera Wang gown called “Eleanor” and also known as the “Sex and the City” dress, is a drop-waist full A-line gown with a feathered tulle skirt and a bold black horsehair sash to add drama.

We love this gown from Amsale called “Nicca.” It’s a strapless tulle A-line gown with a dropped waist and accented with a silk taffeta sash….A great way to add color to your gown without going overboard.

Amsale is known for the simplicity of her gowns…and their elegant embellishments.  A powder blue sash to add  “something blue” and a perfectly petite bow at the waist of a gown…

Walk down the aisle in a Monique Lhuillier gown and you’ll be the envy of all women. Her gowns speak sophistication, glamour, and luxury, and often-times incorporate the most chic of sashes….like the ones shown above.

If you choose to wear a wedding dress with bows and/or sashes,  why not highlight them with your hair accessories?  We ADORE Sara Gabriel hair accessories!  She’s got an extensive collection of cool hair bows, ribbons, and jewelry.  This accessory is a grosgrain ribbon bow perfectly positioned on a tiny ribbon-covered headband.

Here’s an oversized ribbon bow with accents of coque feathers positioned on a clip.  Might work well with those Vera Gowns….if you’re bold enough to forgo white hair  accessories.
