Differences in cultures and backgrounds could not keep Carol and Vincent from falling deeply in love. During college, Vincent participated in an exchange program that brought him from France to Georgia Tech University, where he unknowingly met the love of his life. Carol recalls, “[Vincent and I] met through mutual friends and our interests in each other’s cultures (French and Peruvian) led to long conversations and a longtime friendship.” That longtime friendship turned into a lasting love, and Vincent proposed to Carol on her 30th birthday while walking around the scenic Mount Washington.
The couple decided to get married in Florida, where many of Carol’s family members live. Their ceremony was held at a gorgeous cathedral and Carol looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in her classic Vera Wang ball gown.
Their reception was equally breathtaking, as chic silver votive candle holders, glass chargers, and ivory colored hydrangeas and roses beautifully complimented their champagne table linens. Carol’s fifteen year old sister made their whimsical four tier wedding cake, which featured ivory and coral sugar flowers. The couple found an interesting way to incorporate a bit of their culture into their reception, Carol shares, “I am Peruvian and my husband is French. We were able to convey a little bit of our cultures during cocktail hour. We offered drinks from both countries, Pisco Sour and Kir. The whole event was big cultural exchange as it was the first time most of our families met.” While their wedding was filled with glamour and luxurious décor, the most memorable moment for Carol and Vincent was seeing their families come together to celebrate their love. The couple reminiscences, “The most memorable part was seeing our two worlds unite. It was amazing to see how welcoming our families were to one another and our union despite the cultural differences.” Carol and Vincent’s union once again proves that love conquers all. Wedding Style
Our wedding took place in Miami Fl as my family lives there. I shopped for a wedding dress in the area and was very uncertain about what I wanted. I tried on all sorts of styles, some with apprehension and was happily surprised. I found my dress at David’s Bridal. My dress was not at all what I imagined but it just felt right. It was a Vera Wang ball gown.

Beautiful colors, elegant yet simple, and the little sister needs to start capitalizing on her talent if she hasn’t already! And the dress fit the bride so perfectly.
