Inspired to create a “whimsical garden” and “vintage chic” spring-time styled shoot in the beautiful city of Baltimore, Jennifer, MunaLuchi Coterie member and owner/lead planner of Events by Lady J., found the perfect setting in the Cathedral of Incarnation Church.
The gorgeous garden grounds and striking gothic revival architecture, ideally lended itself to the overall theme, complementing the vintage style table-scape design and whimsical attire. Featuring a stunning cake by MunaLuchi Coterie member the Cake Courtesan, and captured by MunaLuchi Coterie member Trene Forbes.

Describe the Table Scape Elements: The subtle colors of blush, ivory and the pop of red was the perfect fit for outdoor on a naked wooden table, draped with a lavish velvet pink table runner with vintage chic glassware and tableware alongside custom hand-painted charger plates with unique illustrations filled with tiny, intricate, reflective floral details adding to the whimsy of the overall table setting
and making sure it translates and flows into everything else.
Describe your flowers. The flowers were meant to tell a story of vintage style with a touch of tropical florals and roses, tying together the overall feel of the table scape.
Describe your cake. This stunning cake was created to complement the design, décor and florals. The cake was custom designed with coral and cream colors adorned with flowers, and placed on a vintage cake stand on top of a beautiful vintage buffet with beautiful flowers flowing out of the draw.
Tell us about your attire choices. Attire choice was a whimsical princess gown in blush pink by Martin Thornburg (La Mon Cheri Collection). Gown was adorned with lots of lace details. We paired it with a simple earring and flowers in hair application instead of a traditional head piece. The groom wore a traditional blue tux to complement his bride.
Please describe any DIY, handmade or personal details. The custom floral backdrop was a 8ft x 10ft floral installation inspired by the circle, a symbol of unending strength and love. Though not apparent at a glance, the floral composition is built on several intertwined floral wreaths which represent the foundation on which the best marriages are built. The lush overgrown cascading arch is the love that flourishes when two souls commit to reinforcing this foundation and building a life together. We also had custom hand-painted charger plates, each hand-painted with glossy and pearl acrylic paints. The unique illustrations are filled with tiny, intricate, reflective floral details which add to the whimsy of the overall table setting.
