Tell us how you met and all about the proposal. It was during a chance moment at NorthPark Center mall that the two would lock eyes and strike up a brief conversation. They exchanged numbers and went about their day, no expectations in hand. He invited her to a Memorial Day BBQ with all of his friends and from then on Jeremy and Whitney would spend almost every weekend together during that summer, forging a friendship built on fun, food, and of course, movies.
The proposal took place on a third annual trip to Napa Valley, Jeremy was in charge of planning one day. He put together a scenic picnic at Rutherford Hill Winery where he proposed.
Describe your engagement session. Our engagement photo session was special to us because we really wanted the photos to reflect our personalities as well as coordinate with our wedding colors. Jeremy and I are foodies and we love trying new restaurants so we knew we had to incorporate that somehow. I searched for restaurants in the area that fit my aesthetic criteria and found Fachini in Highland Park Village in Dallas, TX. They were so gracious to open their doors for us during lunch.
What did you do on your first date? On our first date we went to grab sushi and drinks in downtown Dallas.
What’s your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to travel, try new restaurants and go to the movies. We go to the movies almost every week.
How has wedding planning been so far? Searching for a venue was a bit stressful but the process after that has been pretty smooth. I love planning the decor, invitations and flowers. My wedding planner, Jenna from Pop Parties has also made the process fun while keeping me realistic.
Tell us what you’re looking forward to most on the wedding day. I’m looking forward to seeing friends and family and just dancing. I think it will be such a wonderful feeling to walk into the reception as husband and wife, ready to party!
