Yellow Decor Pops in Enchanting Elopement Styled Shoot in California

This enchanting elopement styled shoot at The Lavender Workshop in California boasts yellow decor, dreamy florals, and luscious garden backdrops.

Photographer Elizabeth Burgi has always dreamed of doing a styled shoot in an English Garden. So when the chance came to shoot at an Old English Conservatory in California called the Lavender Workshop, she jumped at the opportunity!

Collaborating with a real-life couple, Ashley and Gabriel Foard, Elizabeth’s dream photo shoot came to life. “The theme was pops of yellow because I always believe layering vibrant colors against greenery is stunning visually,” she explains. “You didn’t need a lot of fanfare to create a gorgeous motif.”

The Conservatory itself was a stunning venue to work with. Coated in steel and boasting 100 panels of glass, light reflects throughout the shoot in the most beautiful ways. Azalea from Wild and Behold Florals created an exquisite bouquet “dripping with golden flowers that served as the perfect accent to Ashley’s off-the-shoulder classic gown.” Yolanda Lopez kept makeup simple and glam with “a nude peekaboo eye” to match the shoots esthetics. An essence of whimsy and playfulness exuded from inside the Conservatory where tiny finch birdhouses danced around the room. Michelle Renee’s rustic invitations and table cards, along with a scrumptious cake by Sugar Coated Bakers, added to the shoots charm.
