Modern Vintage Inspiration by Lemiga

For our Fall/Winter 2011 Issue, we were so excited to feature a gorgeous styled shoot from the super talented Michelle Gainey of Lemiga Events.  She went for a modern take on vintage…and the outcome was pure elegance.  We love the pastel yellow and gray color palette, the vintage trunks, and the posh white lounge stations.  Take a look at these captivating images captured by Michelle of Michelle White Photography.  Lots of inspiration here!

“The Modern Vintage Glam shoot is all about blending old elements with the new. Our team of vendors came together initially through the vision of photographer Michelle White’s desire to do a styled shoot that would be unique, beautiful and inspiring. Michelle’s approach to the shoot was to photograph images of the ceremony, reception, and boudoir that would show the viewer how two different styles can be mixed together to produce an atmosphere that is sophisticated, inviting and lively.” – Michelle Gainey – Lemiga Events

“Many of our brides love the classic timeless vibe of “vintage” style, but want to freshen it up with modern touches. For this styled shoot, I was able to take the concept of “Modern Vintage” and incorporate elements such as tufted furniture, vintage trunks, and custom stationery, to produce a design that was very clean, but still luxurious.For the ceremony she designed unique seating using lounge furniture and pillows. For the reception she displayed an estate table with ghost chairs on one side and a rich tufted highback sofa on the other side. The table is accented by a beautiful custom runner and antique china. I really enjoyed pulling together all the special details for this shoot.” – Michelle Gainey

“The florals was a key element of the shoot and Perfect Creations combined elements such as milk white filigree bowls and urns with lush flowers to translate a vintage style for the centerpieces.  A pastel color mix of pale yellows, whites and grays were used to represent the theme colors. To bring in the modern and glam elements, they elevated the centerpieces on custom covered suede boxes with satin ribbons and embellished vintage diamond encrusted broach and vintage buttons. They carried the look of the reception table to the ceremony with a glamorous art deco table featuring decorative. A vintage silver-plated candelabra draped with vintage gray and white pearls was the focal point. Beautiful modern urns elevated on custom covered columns displayed lush white hydrangea that was simple and elegant. The modern ceremony set up was complimented by the custom hand painted gray aisle runner featuring a vintage damask pattern that.  To complete the look for the shoot, bouquets were wrapped with gray satin ribbons and embellished with vintage broaches.” – Michelle Gainey – Lemiga Events
