Romance in the City: A Love Story

“My fiancé Lance proposed on Saturday, August 20, 2011, after 3 1/2 years of dating, at Atlanta’s newest and trendiest downtown restaurant called “Do” (pronounced “Dough”). After not being out on a date in two months since my mom passed on June 5, 2011, Lance and I decided to check out “Do” restaurant. Lance invited me to go on the balcony with the Atlanta skyline as our backdrop to take a picture. He knows I LOVE pictures. After the waiter took the first picture, Lance got down on one knee and proposed. It was so genuine, surreal, and romantic. It was also bittersweet, as I had envisioned my mom being my first call after the proposal. I missed her dearly on this day, but I know she was with us in spirit. Lance and I made history as being the first couple to get engaged at “Do”. It’s interesting… I have always said to my family and friends, ‘I want a story’when I finally find the man of my dreams. I can honestly say that I have the best love story ever with Lance as my partner, lover, and best friend for life.”
